J. Michael Skaggs is a lecturer in the Communication Department - College of Informatics at Northern Kentucky University. His photography focuses on social issues including racism and sexism. His book Americans Revisited Volume 1 (Edgecliff Press), paid homage to Robert Frank's The Americans, and was published July 4, 2008.
Images from Pain have won three awards in B&W Magazine including a Spotlight award published in Issue 102 April 2014.
